Sometimes Copenhagen does all the work
Everywhere is fantastic on a lovely day. When the sun shines in Copenhagen in summer, the city is sensational.
I’ve accumulated hundreds of hours of footage over the years, covering everything from architecture and design to streets, bicycles and the small details that make the city interesting.
And then there are shots where you don’t really need to do anything.
This is eight minutes filmed continuously from my bike, starting on Gothersgade and travelling through Kongens Nytorv, past Nyhavn, across Copenhagen Harbour and towards the Opera House.
There are no edits. No music. No talking.
Just eight minutes of pure Copenhagen on a beautiful summer day, travelling the best way to see Copenhagen, by bike.
Everything I tried in the edit, music, talking, B-roll, infographics… nothing worked.
Sometimes the best editing decision is not to edit.
