Web design for Author Liz Jensen
Liz Jensen is the author of eight novels, including The Ninth Life of Louis Drax, which was adapted into a Hollywood feature film starring Jamie Dornan, Sarah Gadon, Aaron Paul, and Aiden Longworth. Based in Copenhagen, Liz also writes widely as a journalist and commentator, with work appearing in international publications.
Website Design
Liz needed a modern, flexible website to act as a central hub for her writing, journalism, and appearances. The site includes a latest news section and a dedicated area for essays and shorter texts — reflecting the breadth of her work beyond fiction.
I designed and built a clean, responsive WordPress site that balances personality with clarity, ensuring her books, articles, and biography are easily accessible to readers, publishers, and press. The website is designed to evolve with her career, accommodating new publications, media coverage, and future projects.
Logo & Visual Elements
Rather than rebranding from scratch, I adapted the logo from one of Liz’s book covers. As an established author with a strong visual legacy — thanks in part to excellent cover design from Bloomsbury — it made sense to retain and reinterpret key design elements. This allowed the website to feel recognisably ‘hers’ while still functioning as a standalone presence.
A Long-Standing Collaboration
I’ve worked with Liz for over a decade across multiple website projects. This longstanding partnership has enabled a natural, efficient design process rooted in trust and an understanding of her evolving creative needs.
Liz Jensen’s books are widely available in multiple languages from leading booksellers. Depending on your region, the film adaptation of The Ninth Life of Louis Drax may be available to stream on Netflix.
